I can only ever see the glass
As half empty
Because the world is full of possibilities
That will never be possible.
I can never do what I want,
Because the world is a cage,
And I am already beating myself
On the bars.
My future can never be bright,
Because the fabric of humanity
Insists on sucking out
All the light
That might have once been there.
My cage has no key,
Because there were never meant to be bars
In the first place.
This life is a hallway
We will never be free of
Because there is a door
that we made
Blocking
The
Way
Out.
