Long long ago,
Or it might have been today
(Who can tell when things happen in Eternity?)
The moon drew near the sun and spoke.
"I am cold, and dead.
I can only watch while you give light and warmth to the world.
I wish that I was necessary to the existence of even one living creature...
But I'm not,
And I will wander alone forever."
"No," the sun whispered sadly,
"It is true that without me the world cannot survive,
But stars are mortal too.
In time nothing will be left but the souls of those who dreamed.
My light will go out,
But the dreams that you fed will shine forever
And you will never be alone."
