Where were you September 10th?
What plans did you have the next day?
Did you have to go to work or were you going out to play?
As you went about your business and you saw your fellow man,
Did you think that anyone you saw could use a helping hand?
Surely you responded when you heard about the cruel attack
But did you do anything the day before that you'd take back?
Have you changed your ways and do you try to live a better life?
Do you work for peace now and attempt each day to end all strife?
If so, then though the tragedy has permanently closed a door,
It's opened up a window on the way to act-
The day before.
