Look outside,
At the weather
And no matter what,
You know it'll rain.
Maybe not today,
Maybe not even this week,
But it will.
The rain will pound and crush
And you know you can't stop it.
You'll watch it as it covers you,
Filling your boots
And hitting your hands,
Until it reaches your face,
And it will run like streams,
Blocking your lungs.
You will look at the clock
And think, your last thought,
'I could've have had one more day.'
