This is a poem I made up for my English class- and in my dA journal- when we were reading the Diary of Anne Frank. Really sad book, isn't it... But any way, it's kind of a quickie, but I find it powerful.

A+ A- |
The grief
The exhaustion
The need for a companion
The hate
That burns on
So deep in everyone
Some would simply crumple
All emotions left them, all is gray
Some would lash out in anger
At those who hold them down each day
Some would exist just for revenge
Some would turn away from their morals
But once in a while, every so often,
A spirit shines with hope for all.
