The Artists Chapter 1

Incipient

A young woman, who looked about the age of 17, ran swiftly across the capacious hallway. Behind the girl, guards were chasing tirelessly to catch up with her. The hallway was lighted up with florescent lights, and ostentatious accessories accompanied each of the lights, giving it a placid yet rich glow. The walls were painted gold and crimson red along with pictures of renowned figures. With the touch of extensively decorated framework, which surrounded the painted figures; the legendary figures almost seemed almost sacrosanct.

The hallway is located in an Academy called the Lolise Academy. Lolise Academy is an academy meant for the most elite students in the nation, it is also one of the toughest schools to be admitted. It is a wonder how a young rebellious novice like her was admitted; it could even be considered a miracle.

The two guards who wore heavily ornamented armor were running incessantly towards the girl, but because of their armor the guards weren't fast enough to catch up with the light weighted girl who was already a block ahead. The girl was apparently sagacious. She slowed down one pace and took a sharp turn to the right, the guards were caught off guard and they stumbled towards the wall. The guards groaned and rubbed the places that crashed into the wall. Once the guards regained part of their consciousness. One of the guards with a frustrated face harangued some sentences towards the direction where the girl took off long ago.

The girl turned around and heard a murmur of sounds that echoed throughout the hallway. She knew that the guards' fell into her machination, the girl showed a hint of amusement that tipped on the edge of her mouth, which mounted into a slight grin. The girl had long black hair that is styled into a messy up-do with slight bangs and her hair color weren't only pure black or brown instead as she was running, the sunlight that is spilling from the large windows along the hallway reflected a tint of deep blue oceanic color. The girl's bottomless blue eyes were rotund and burnish. The girl wore a cross- body bag that is decorated with colorful patches that ranged across rainbow colors that most people would consider trinket. She wore her sailor outfit school uniform that is designed in the color of dark red, which is colored along the fringes of the uniform and the rest of the uniform is under the color of black. Under her sailor outfit she also wore a pair of black knee stockings that matched her outfit along with a perfect combination of chocolate colored loafers. Even though the whole outfit is originally stunning, the wrinkles and the folds along her clothes revealed that the girl had obviously worn her uniform precipitously that morning.

As she felt lethargic from running on the precipice she gradually slowed down and reached the center of the forest. She looked up towards the sky while standing under the forest and paused for a moment where the tranquil atmosphere gradually devoured her racing heart. As her heart steadied itself, she walked in front of the great monumental tree that marked her name. Paige Evelyn. As she looked around, she noticed that the tree's shadows created numerous lucid diamond- shaped that radiated on the floor, and the scaly golden leaves that lay lifeless on the floor in return created abstract shapes and unrecognizable forms that enraptured Paige. This is the place where it all began.
