Snow

It's a wintery day,

Snow is on everyone's mind, it's everywhere, and it's on everyone's shoes…

Snow adrift,

Snow far and wide,

Snow covering the trees,

A cardinal fluffs his feathers out –

Preparing for that long winter ahead

Filled with snow

And cold.

It is Christmastime,

And this year it is a white Christmas.

People singing carols in the snow

Some carriage Clydesdales clop past piles of snow,

As they lead people through some city streets

Children begging for toys as they look inside the stores

Hoping to keep warm

From the snow drifting

Slowly, slowly…

It falls peacefully

As people watch the snow

From the comfort of their homes

Birds flitting,

Hopeful

For the snow

To leave
