Winter's First Snowfall
Author:
Sophia Conrad PM
Think of your earliest memories... Of hot Cocoa by the fire, and Snowflakes landing on your nose. Of warm woolly mittens, and the snowmen you'd make as a child. This is what Winter means to me.

One by one they float down gently,

One alone will melt,

But thousands create a suprise tonight;

Gathered into soft clumps, a miracle begins to form.

Set to sparkle like diamonds at the coming of dawn;

Light powder dusting the rooftops at the coming the eaves,

Crisp flakes of white ready to shine in the early light.

A Chirstmas present, come early for all;

Such a wonderful sight -

Is winter's first snowfall.
