The Love That Never Was
Author:
Allegorical PM
A few years ago, I created a fictional character. These are just my brief thoughts on him, in poem form. Even if I used every adjective available when describing him, I would not come close to capturing his true essence. Revised edition.

His eyes held a brightness

A glinting kind of lightness in his dark Deadly gaze as he looked at my face.

And through the thickest, blackest lashes

Like velvet fringed ssssashes,

The eyes were calm, cooling, almost coy.

But the proud haughty jaw

Told me something more

That the Arrogance of this man was yes, justified.

The justified pride the man made no effort to hide was because he had utter faith in his abilities.

My heart raced madly,

My eyes longed for him sadly

For I knew he had ensnared me with his nonchalant arrogance. Our eyes met again

Shared some understanding and that was when I simply took his hand.

And

Then

We

Simply

Walked

Away
