.o1. The Fairytale Begins
"In another life, I would be your girl" -Katy Perry
Hey, I'm Hopeless. Joking, my names Cassie. Today was the day I watched my world come crashing down. I know that sounds unbelievably cheesy, but honestly, that is the truth.
I'm that careless girl that makes careless decisions in life because, let's face it, I'm hopeless. I have no idea what I'm doing in life, and not only am I careless and hopeless, I'm also jobless! What is life!
So here's how it all started. And I'm going to start this like a fairytale story because I have no idea how to tell you this. But I'll make it short and snappy for you.
Once upon a time, there was a girl named Cassie and she had a best friend named Ryan. One day they went into starbucks and that day changed everything. Unexpectedly, Cassie bumped into her childhood friend. Her name was Melissa; she was sitting next to her friend named Luke, sipping on coffee. Cassie and Ryan decided to join them for some coffee time. Ryan and Melissa had a little chit chat and BOOM! Fireworks in the air, glitter everywhere. They clicked and you can work their story from there.
Don't get me wrong, I don't hate Melissa. We used to be best friends when we were kiddies. She's lovely, nice and sweet. The perfect girl. And I was the green eyed monster. Literally. I tried really hard to separate the both of them, none of my monstrous schemes worked. Dammit.
Luke? I guess he's kind of like me in this situation. Not that he's a green eyed monster (he's got blue eyes). I don't hate him, neither do I like him. He was just... There. I barely talk to him; he barely speaks. Not that I wanted to talk to him anyway... Okay, I'm lying. Kinda. He just sat there, watching me work my evil schemes and said nothing. He knew what I was doing, but he didn't say anything.
Anyway, this story isn't about me and my evil schemes, or about joyful little ponies and butterflies and fairies and rainbows or happily ever afters' (well for some people, maybe). It's about their wedding. Today.
I didn't expect it. It hit me like a train on the tracks. I was just sitting in Starbucks one morning, the usual for the four of us to be here. 2 years gone past and my plot to destroy them had failed miserably. They're inseparable! Or maybe my plans just sucked.
Melissa sat down beside Ryan, her leg over the other, very lady like.
"Cassie, guess what?" She smiled, a little too enthusiastically, showing her pearly whites.
"Umm... Do I have to? Not really bothered right now." I mumbled. The happy coupled laughed. Luke, who sat beside me, narrowed his eyes. He wasn't really a happy person in the morning. Couldn't blame him, it was 8 o'clock. He proceeded to drink from his cup.
"We're getting married!" She squealed excitedly.
Luke spluttered out whatever he had in his mouth, so long Mr I'm-so-cool. But then again, what could I say? Not only was I careless, hopeless and jobless. I was also speechless.
"Congratulations, wasn't expected." Luke chuckled uneasily. I nodded in agreement.
"Oh gee, look at the time! I should be off to work now. Bye guys!" I gave them a fake smile and rushed to the exit. I could feel them staring as I left, they all knew I was jobless, as well as careless, hopeless and speechless. Luckily, at the right time, the water broke.
So here I am, sitting in the party. Food in front of me. Chandelier hanging from the ceiling. Just watched my best friend (who I'm hopelessly in love with) getting married to her. Sigh. Life is beautiful.
So let's start from the beginning of today...
A / N: So, starting a new story. YAY! It's a short one and I'm trying to avoid any kind of cliché here. I got this idea when I was at a wedding, and the ex girlfriend of the groom was invited, and I really do wonder what it was like for her, as well as that, I listened to the song SPEAK NOW by TAYLOR SWIFT. I do not own the KATY PERRY QUOTE at the top, or STARBUCKS (LOL, wish I did).
I'll update soon though. I honestly have no idea where this story is going. But yanoee... Go with the flow. Oh, and OMG! Its Christmas soon! Woot woot! Happy Christmas and a Merry New Year! I will be writing a Christmas One Shot, if any ideas do come into my head before Sunday (Christmas) Haahaa. Merry Holidays 3.
