The Essence of the Flame
Does fire not stop
Until there is nothing
More to destroy?
Does it pull a cloak
Of ashes and invisibility
Around its shoulders at night,
When its damage is done,
And fly off to cause
More grief, pain, and sorrow?
Or, does it just float away,
Nonexistent,
Fearless,
Never leaving a trail
Of sparks and ashes in it's wake?
But no, that couldn't happen,
For fire is too spiteful
To be gone forever.
