If school were a person to be judged it would be going straight to hell. I mean where else do you have to mask yourself to survive? People who claim that school days are the best days? Please, if they spent one day in my school they'd be happy to get back to their office. In the "real world" (hello, isn't school real enough?) being smart is rewarded, in my school it gets you a low social standing at best and constant torture day in and day out at worst. This isn't, however, an essay about bullying. This is an essay about how much I hate school.

Don't get me wrong school itself is fine and except for the occasional exam pretty easy, the whole problem starts with the social structure that comes along with it. Take for example the football team. My best friend since kindergarten (German root to that word, you learn something new every day) is on it and that creates a problem, all football players have a higher social standing (at least first string does, whatever that means) and so he is distancing himself, have I mentioned how much I detest football players? I'm not a total loser ( although I do listen to Billy Joel) I'm on the cross country team and I don't totally nerd out, but I have glasses and cross country isn't considered a cool sport.

There are no gay people at my school, at least not openly. Do you know why? I'll tell you, it's because being gay (or Bi or lesbian) means constant torture. What a bunch of homophobes! If you look at a guy funny, it starts (I am not, by the way, gay or bi as you will find out later).

Anyway now that I'm done ranting about that. I'll start on my particular experiences, there is a girl in my gym class that I like, you know, like. Do you know what happens when I start talking to her. Ohmygod you two should like totally go out. Well what if I'm not sure she likes me? What if I want to know her better? Apparently those aren't requirements to get married around here. The thing is it isn't even limited to people I talk to. Someone will walk up to me and say hey you should, like, totally hook up with some person I don't even know.

Anyway that ends my rant against football, homophobes and match makers, have a nice day and go cuss out some of the aforementioned people. Cheers and keep writing-vis verbi.
