Summary: It has been a year since the A-Virus was accidentally released and the entire world went down. Alex Andrus is a human who was a government experiment with the A-Virus. Rai Hawthorne is a human who was once a government experiment with a different virus. As the government hunts them down, they must band together in order to survive.

Prologue

My name is Alex Andrus.

It has been a year, one month, four weeks and three days since the A-Virus was accidentally released into the world.

It was a virus meant to confront incurable diseases, like cancer. However, it backfired and instead of curing diseases, it turned humans, both dead and alive, into Snares, zombie-like creatures who can use tentacles as weapons.

I was 25-years old when the A-Virus got out.

And I'm not human.

I was born a human, but when my mother died during childbirth, I was taken and experimented on, including the A-Virus.

The A-Virus has given me special and grotesque abilities, ones that would sicken a normal human being. I have used them to hunt and to kill my enemies.

Now I am hunted by the government.

And I am hunting them.

It's time for them to pay for their mistakes.
