Hello again! This is my second poem here on Fiction Press!
Compassion Devoid
Light
I tip my face to it
It's so unfamiliar to me
I'm doing this for you
Because you're gone now, and I'm not
Lies
They spread them
They made unforgivable promises
Then broke them into pieces
Like my heart
Love
You gave me all of yours
And I returned it
But I wasn't good enough
I ruined you
Life
It is a maze
Of twists and turns and dead ends
You held my hand tightly
But one day I let go
Lips
Yours spoke the truth
Words of kindness, and love
But mine started the fire
I am the tumor
Lost
Without your guiding hand
Or beating heart
A name once so familiar
Is distant now
Lent
The state your heart was in
You gave it to me for safe-keeping
But I shattered it
I killed you
I hope you liked it! Don't forget to review!
