My stupid words cannot express
my frustration with myself
All I hear is denial
in my own head
A wave of confusion
races through my veins
and freezes my blood

I want to just close my eyes
Begin my slumber
Let me go on alone
Let me die all alone
Asleep in my bed
I wither every moment I'm awake
I ruin all that I love
and expect it to be built up
as a shrine to my pointlessness
