Bitter taste,
Rolls off the tongue,
Velvet voices,
Are thinly strung.
Sickly-sweet,
The weltering rose,
Dry laughter,
Be the call of crows.
Sounding wrong,
And out of tune,
Horrid music,
Fills the room.
Softest whisper,
Deafens the ear,
Untruths told,
By a sinful leer.
Mournful tears,
Gently rolled,
Because today,
A lie was told.
