Something
You were like the heavens-
eyes that held the earth and more.
I reached out to them,
milky-ways,
and was pulled inside
forever
to stay
with an emptiness to burn my core.
There was nothing left of you-
diamonds, rocks, hollow space.
I floated there alone, weightless,
a shell of a body
timeless
ageless,
blackness a shawl of spidery lace.
We are like a mirror image-
flying across the reflective glass.
One pale moon alight, aglow
one dark in shade
in contrast-
but both devoid of letting go.
