A Cold Autumn In December
One of those again? There's no more light.
Yes, it's necessary for rest and focus.
Should I sit still the gears will turn all night.
My shoes transition from wood to frozen earth to dark pavement
Pale rays bleed through bushes and trees
The shadows are black and defined
I'd tell you how it smelled to me
but my nostrils are frozen and numb
I'd be content to see a neon sign in this place
But that would not fit in here
For a huge monster to breathe its hot breath on my face
Before devouring my money
I guess I'll just put my hood on and tilt my head down
and wait until I finish the circle
The dark pavement is cracked light and brown
From surges during warmer parts in the year
