Come Rain Or Come Shine

Introduction

We can never predict the future. One event, one choice, can change a person's life forever. Come Rain Or Come Shine is the story of Mackenzie Reid, a young woman who, despite having friends and achieving professional success, feels like a misfit. From Kenzie's point of view, her situation could definitely use some improvement; however, when her fate becomes intertwined with those of Derek, Dylan and Sophie, her life changes in ways she could not have foreseen. Together, these four people learn the importance of honesty, trust, friendship and courage as they realize that coming back from the edge is something nobody can do alone.

This story is, currently, my only writing project. I'm just a woman with a fertile and sometimes overactive imagination. I write for fun and sometimes for therapy. I hope I'm also writing to entertain.

Come Rain Or Come Shine is a multi-chaptered piece, told in first person point of view. It was inspired in part by a conversation I had with my brother, and in part by an excerpt from David Francey's song, "Come Rain or Come Shine".

Sometimes I wonder what you see in me.
Is it someone you're wishing or hoping I'll be?
Sometimes I wonder, I can't help myself;
will your love go someplace with somebody else?

If sometimes you wonder what I see in you,
just picture the sun on an ocean of blue.
Just picture that ocean, so deep and so wide;
