Shinigami Twin Ch.42 "Breaking down the walls"

Our heroes now approach the Ira Family Manor. Will they save Johanna in time?

Arizo looks at the entrance of the manor. He notices two ninjas guards in front of the entrance manor, each of them facing the opposite direction of each other.

Arizo: Alright, only two guards, huh? This shouldn't be much of a problem. Anybody got any ideas?

Ai: Well, we need to take them out one by one, so let's lure the guard on the left over here.

Tyrin: Alright, now we need to know how to do it without the second one noticing.

Ai notices a rock on the ground and hands it to Tyrin

Ai: Here, throw it above the guard. He'll check what's over here. Then, one of us will disguise ourselves as the guard and lure the other one over here.

Tyrin: Um... I don't think I should do this.

Arizo: Just throw the rock. What never played baseball?

The utter of the word "baseball" made Tyrin shiver. The memories of the intense training he had to endure were coming back to him. Despite this, he felt somewhat confident that he throw it. It was just above the guard after all, not that hard.

Tyrin: *sighs* Alright.

Tyrin takes the rock and prepares to throw it. In a single swing, he not only threw it at incredible speed, but he also hit the guard directly at his head knocking him unconscious. Everybody was shocked by what happened.

Arizo: What the hell?! Why did you hit him?!

Tyrin: I told you I shouldn't do it!

Toshiko: Quick! Get him over here before the other guard notices!

Sneakily, Arizo and Lewis quickly pick up the unconscious guard and return to the group. The guard was completely unconscious by the hit, like he was hit by a large object.

Arizo: Damn, you really knocked him out!

Tyrin: I'll never throw anything again... *sits in depress*

After a few minutes, the group decided to let Tyrin wear the disguise. This was mostly because the outfit could only fit him. Oddly, the guard was a bit on the short side.

Tyrin: I can't believe I can fit into this.

Arizo: Now go get the other guard, this time don't screw it up.

Tyrin: Hey, shut it!

Tyrin walks to the other guard. The other guard didn't even turn around from his post to look at him.

Tyrin: Hey, um... dude... I think I heard something over there in the bushes.

Guard: And? Go check it out.

Tyrin: That's not what I mean. I mean someone might be back there, like a group or something, and I don't want to get jump.

Guard: What? You scared or something? Leave me alone.

Tyrin: (Crap! What am I supposed to do? I guess I have no other choice...)

Tyrin taps the guard's shoulder. The guard angrily turns around.

Guard: What do you...

Tyrin grabs the guard and slams into the wall, knocking him unconscious. Once again, the group is deeply shocked by Tyrin's actions. Tyrin grabs the unconscious guard and drags him back to the group.

Tyrin: Mission accomplished! *gives a thumbs up*

Arizo punches Tyrin in the face. Tyrin holds his wound.

Arizo: You idiot! Are you trying to get us caught?! What if someone saw you?!

Tyrin: Excuse me for trying!

Lewis: We don't have to time to argue. *quickly puts on uniform*

Tyrin: Yeah, alright...

Ai: Well, that ended up differently than I predicted, but we still managed to capture the guards. The manor is too large for us to search with our current numbers, so we'll separate into two groups on search each section. The leader of each group will be Lewis and Tyrin. I'll go with Tyrin and Toshiko and Arizo will go with Lewis. Perkins, you stay here and keep watch as well making sure the guards don't alert anyone.

Perkins: Why are you keeping me back here?

Ai: Well... I haven't came up with anything for you to do within your abilities...

Toshiko: She's basically saying you're useless.

Perkins sits against a tree in disappointment

Ai: Sorry, Perkins.

Perkins: No, it's alright, just go on without me.

Arizo: Fine, let's go.

The five Shinigami leave into the manor. Perkins looks on disappointed that he couldn't join, so the only thing he need was silently stream guitar.

The Ira Family Manor was extremely large. Seeing it from the outside can't comprehend how large it was from it inside. It looked it would take an hour just to reach the main building. Ninjas were walking around the large manor, some of them didn't have their masks.

Tyrin: Ok, this place is too huge! What kind of family needs this amount of space?!

A few ninjas stared at Tyrin oddly by what said, like he should've known how large it was to begin with

Lewis: Sorry, new guy.

The ninjas returned to their walking

Arizo: I think Tyrin will get us caught long before the security does.

Tyrin: Shut up.

Toshiko: Our group will take the left section, you guys go on the right. And be careful.

Tyrin: Don't worry, we will.

Toshiko: I was mostly talking to you, Tyrin.

Tyrin: Just go.

Arizo, Lewis, and Toshiko leave to the left section of the manor. Ai and Tyrin walk into right and look around the scenery. Oddly enough, the manor looked quite peaceful dispute a rebellion going on. There were plenty of birds as well, chirping and bathing in the bird baths. It was a place where you could rest at ease.

Ai: This place is so beautiful. I can't believe Robin used to live here.

Tyrin: Yeah, I wouldn't mind living in a place like this. If Grandpa would stop being so cheap, our manor would at least look decent.

Ai: Tyrin, do you think Johanna is alright?

Tyrin: Of course, Kakai wouldn't hurt her. I bet she's probably in the dungeon.

Ai: This place has a dungeon.

Tyrin: I think so, where else would they keep prisoners? Maybe a storage room at least.

Tyrin notices a ninja walking by and stops him

Tyrin: Excuse me, sir. Do you know where the dungeon is? I'm new here and I'm transferring this girl to the dungeon for Lord Kakai.

Ninja: Oh, it's right around the corner to your left. You might want to hurry though.

Tyrin: Ok, thank you, sir.

The ninja walks away

Ai: What did he mean by that?

Tyrin: I don't know, there might be something go on like a meeting. Oh well, let's hurry to the dungeon.

Ai and Tyrin leave to the dungeon. As soon as they turn the corner, they saw a giant sign that had the word "Dungeon" on it.

Ai: Um... what a... specific sign... *sweatdrop*

Tyrin: Yeah, we could've found this ourselves... *sweatdrop*

The two young Shinigami enter the dungeon

The dungeon was dark and gloomy, not a place you want your children to hang around it. It was also a bit ancient, there were the basic cells for prisoners and a desk for the prison guard. The prison guard himself was reading a newspaper. Tyrin approached the prison guard.

Tyrin: Excuse me...

Prison guard: ¿Sí?

Ai: What?

Prison guard: ¿Te puedo ayudar? Translation: Can I help you?

Ai: I think he's speaking Spanish, what should we... *whispers*

Tyrin (Spanish): Yes, sir. I need to take this prisoner to the cell that holds Johanna Ira. Do you know where it is?

Prison guard (Translation): Why yes I do. It's the fifth cell down.

Tyrin (Spanish): I see, thank you. *bows*

Ai and Tyrin leave to the cell

Ai: I didn't know you know how to speak Spanish.

Tyrin: Sure, I can speak nearly every single one. French, German, Japanese, etc.

Ai: That's really impressive! I only know a bit of French! How long have you been studying?

Tyrin: Every since I was five. It's not as hard as some may think.

The two young Shinigami finally reach the cell. The cell was responsibly sized, not too large or small. The only thing in there was a bed and bar to prevent anyone from escaping. The first thing the two noticed was Johanna sleeping on a girl's lap. Along with Johanna, there were five other girls in the cell with her. Each of the girls had a different hair color (Red, Blue, Green, Pink, and Yellow), but looked exactly the same.

Tyrin: Johanna, you're...

Before Tyrin could finish his sentence, the red haired girl grab Tyrin's arm and turn him into a holding position on the cell bars. She then pulled out a red scarf and wrapped it around his neck. The girl then tied it scarf to bar, which made it hard for him to breath. The red haired girl reached into Tyrin's pockets with her free hand, searching for something. When she didn't find anything, she pulled out a small knife and pointed it at Tyrin's already choking neck.

Red-haired girl: Where is the key?!

Tyrin: What?!

Red-haired girl: Don't play with me!

Ai: Wait a second! Don't kill him!

The commotion between the three caused Johanna to wake up. She noticed the situation and was shocked.

Johanna: Ai! What are you doing here?!

Ai: Johanna, tell her to let him go!

Johanna: What? Ruby, let him go.

The red-haired girl, who was named Ruby, releases Tyrin from his torment. Tyrin quickly caught his breath.

Tyrin: What the hell is wrong with you?!

Johanna: Who are you? What do you want with me?

Tyrin: What? It's me, Tyrin!

Tyrin removed his mask. Johanna instantly recognized him.

Johanna: Tyrin?! Why are you wearing a ninja uniform?!

Tyrin: We came all the way over here to save you! We even had to go through the Sewer Way and a gang of thug cats!

Johanna: Thug cats?!

Tyrin: Yes, thug cats! I am not exaggerating!

Prison guard (Spanish): Hey, what's going on over there?!

Tyrin (Spanish): It's nothing, sir! I was just talking to the prisoners!

Prison guard (Spanish): Did she try to kill you? Don't worry, she always does that!

Tyrin (Spanish): Thank you for the advice! Could've been useful like two minutes ago!

The prison guard returned to his reading

Tyrin: Sorry, I just don't like being killed. How are you?

Johanna: Wait a second, you came all the way over here just to save me?

Ai: Well, of course. That's what friends do.

Johanna: R... Really? *blushes*

Tyrin: We're just glad to see your okay. By the way, who are they?

Johanna: Oh, these are my ninjas. Ruby, Sapphire, Jade, Coral, and Amber.

Tyrin: Hey, I remember them. They were those ninjas that tried to kill me...

Ruby: And it almost worked too. *sharpens knife with rock*

Sapphire: Sorry, Ruby is always like that.

Jade: Lady Johanna, your prince has come.

Coral: Q... Quit talking nonsense, Jade! L... Lady Johanna doesn't have poor taste!

Tyrin: Ok, just going to pretend that doesn't sting.

Amber: We should leave.

Ai: That's right, the keys. How are we going to get them from the prison guard?

Ruby: Kill him.

Johanna: Don't you think that's a bit obsessive!

Ruby: Alright, fine. Just go knock him out.

Tyrin: Huh? But I thought we were getting along... man...

Tyrin puts his mask back on and walks to the prison guard

Tyrin (Spanish): Sorry, man. I gotta free my friend.

Prison guard (Spanish): Fine, I knew it was going to happen eventually. Go ahead.

Tyrin slams the prison guard into the desk, knocking him out. Tyrin grabs the keys from him and returns to the cell. Tyrin opens the cell and releases the girls.

Elsewhere, Arizo, Lewis, and Toshiko wonder through the left section

Arizo: Why did this place have to be so large? It's going to take us hours to find her.

Toshiko: I wonder how well Ai and Tyrin are doing. They're probably as lost as we are.

Lewis is silent

Arizo: What's up, Lewis? Something on your mind?

Lewis: Something... seems off...

Arizo: Yeah, I feel it too. Though, it's probably not the same as yours whatever it is.

Lewis: Yeah... it's probably just my imagination. I hope...
