Dear Rain

This is a poem I wrote for a school competition when I was 8. It was published in a book called Once Upon A Rhyme Volume 2, along with many other pupils entries. Remember, this was written when I was 8 so it isn't going to be amazing.

Dear Rain,

Please come and make big puddles

Maybe even a new pond

I would be out for hours and hours

And if you turn into a storm

I would be allowed to have some nice, warm hot chocolate .

Please turn into a snow storm

Please turn out the lights

Then there will be total darkness all night

With lightning coming again and again and again!

My dog will be scared until the storm is over
