I'm holding on real tight
gripping with all my might
I'm running out of time
you're my last lifeline
my life's as black as night
can't seem to find the light
cant' you hear the clock chime
you're my last lifeline

And the crying train tracks bleed
sins from the wrist are freed
but it feels just sublime
you were my last lifeline

The one I called when it went wrong
the one who knew all along
my own death I would sign
I'd need my last life line

But I couldn't even save
you from your cold cold grave
the chills run down my spine
I failed as your last lifeline
