Graduation (30-5-01)

Autumn becomes winter,

Then winter is spring.

Before anyone knows,

Spring is summer.

What is the difference

Between these seasons?

When you think about it,

It’s only a matter of minutes.

One second you’re in Spring,

The next in summer.

The change is so sudden,

And so drastic.

Yet,

You know it’ll come again.

Fall is a happy time,

Full of bright colors and memories.

It’s joyous and exciting.

But it’s conquered by the dark winter.

The dark and unforgiving winter.

It leaves tears in your eyes,

And it freezes you.

It leaves you unsure of what to do.

But you’re not alone.

There are others just like you.

Others who look at this time,

They try on the rose colored glasses.

As we leave the world we knew,

We set fourth on a different path.

The idea is to try new things.

We must wipe away those tears –

For now is not the time.

We need to smile and be happy.

We made it through,

We did it together.

Even though things’ll be different,

There’s always that thought in mind.

Before you know it,

You’ll be where you are again.

Not with the same people,

Not with the same ideas

Or even knowledge.

The seasons go in a cycle,

And so do our lives.
