Based on Jack Prelutsky's book, here are three "Scranimal" poems that I wrote. For those who don't know, a Scranimal is an animal scrambled with another object/animal.

The gross Wolvulture's quite a fright
On this next page, you wish to see?
Well, if you have bad dreams at night
You chose to look. So don't blame me.
With fur and fangs and ugly beak
Wolvulture is a lazyhead
He points out creatures sick or weak
And waits until the poor thing's dead.
This scavenger will only eat
Things that decay out in the sun
This bird recoils at fresh meat
He waits until the lion's done
Oh, how disgustingly he lives!
He always takes, he never gives
Wolvulture, such a frightful bird
I wish of it I never heard.
