Just Another Day

I don't see why

Halloween is so special.

After all, it's just people

Pretending to be something they're not.

Masks cover grimaces and make them

Look like ordinary smiles.

Paint on the tears and the blood

That we always try and hide.

It's not special.

It's every day of my life.
