And all your thoughts were the occupants
What would it look like to you?
I only ask because I have looked at mine
And was wondering if you'd like to.
Would you have a conservatory
Where relaxed thoughts would go?
Or perhaps a basement
To keep the secrets you don't want people to know?
What about an attic
For the lofty part if your mind?
Or perhaps a playroom
For your inner child?
And what about your family?
Would you keep them by your side?
Memories of your love ones,
Forever in your mind.
Will all your favourite memories
Be framed for all to see
Or will they be locked away beneath your bed
For your eyes only.
What about the bad times?
Are they monsters under the bed?
I really wish I knew
What went on in your head.
I'm only asking you this,
As a way of polite conversation.
But the truth is I'm always out of my house
On a permanent vacation.
