I have been asked
what makes me happy
and all I could think of
was the following

Every time I see a smile on your face
my demeanor brightens

All the times my non-funny jokes make you laugh
I'm convinced that the world isn't a bad place after all

Just getting the opportunity to see you
makes me feel
as if I'm on top

I'm happy when you are happy
wholeheartedly content with your life

And if by some miracle I contributed to that,
my life goal would be fulfilled

For me to be happy
the ones I love and care about
need to be taken care of
and find their own happiness first

Others are more important than me
for the lives of many triumphs over the life of one
