Weakness

There once was a girl

So joyous and care-free.

She tackled everything head-on

With her words and actions filled with glee.

He came to her then

Which came as a surprise.

She didn't object because she was drawn to him,

Hypnotized by his ocean blue eyes.

They came close,

Closer than her friends ever were.

That's when she began to fall;

She though he would love her forever.

But then he broke her,

He left her in pieces.

It was easy because he knew –

He knew he was her weakness.
