Aurora

She is the most wonderful dancer-

Or so I'm told,

For I have never witnessed it myself.

She's said to swirl and arch and prance.

And as she does she glows pink with pride.

But she is green with envy, too,

For she thinks the Moon is more gorgeous than she.

If only she could see herself.

Reflected in the millions of eyes that search for her,

Hope to glimpse her, even for a second,

And those that see her, and gaze open mouthed in wonder

As she lights up the heavens

For all to see.
