Dawn
They named her Dawn,
And rightly so.
She glowed and danced
Like the rays of the rising sun
On the sea.
So beautiful is she!
Lo and behold! Rose pink and grass green
The banners she danced with were.
And she became one with them.
Her mother, Celestie, did not approve
Of her dancing and flirting in the Night.
So she fled with her banners of pink and green
Streaming out behind her.
She was content to live her life in darkness.
She twirls herself and swirls her banners
For all the world to see.
