I had a poetry assignment to write a sonnet. Normally, I don't like poetry all that much myself, but a few people said this was pretty good so I decided to upload it. I wrote this in early March, (with this weather, it feels more like late spring!) not in summer for those of you who are curious.

What is Summer?

Some may say it is a time to enjoy,

With fireworks, food and friends.

Others will say it is an unnecessary time;

Filled with sweltering heat, rainless days and angry people.

Another group might not care at all;

Summer has its ins and outs.

But what is truly summer?

Some will love it.

Some will hate it.

Some will not care at all.

So what is the reason for summer?

Summer is not made by love, hate or carelessness;

Summer is what you makes it.
