In the end, the darkness won,
the shadows took me in.
A raging hate, a monster form
from where do I begin?

The light was bright; it called my name.
The shadows held me tightly.
The light, it brings security.
The pain, it visits nightly.

By day, I am myself again,
the night is when I fall.
A simple wish is all I have
I want to end it all.

My wish is not of that so harsh:
I do not long for death.
I have learned the hard way,
you should savour every breath.

So if you ever know the pain
that I once knew, my friend.
I will not leave you all alone;
for this is not the end.
