The unavoidable, mandatory, beach episode err...chapter.
When Delwyn parked the van on the side of the street the car hadn't even shut off when Edward pulled Sho out of the car and out toward the water. The redhead could only look back with a look of defeat on her face while her 30 year old boyfriend jumped up and down splashing in the water.
Eiji stood there with a disgusted looked on his face until his boyfriend grabbed him from behind and lifted him over his shoulder, running after the older couple with his boyfriend screaming and pounding on his head. The next to leave the car was Amaya, she opted to stay in her human form and to carry the water cooler and other food things for everyone to eat, and turning back to the car she yelled. "You two get out of the car and help me carry all the other stuff out!"
Delwyn pulled his lips away from his fiancé (as least he likes to call her that) and sheepishly rubbed the back of his head. Blowing black hair out of his face, he opened the front car door and moved to get out, but stopped when he noticed his other not moving. "Rei? Is something wrong?"
Rei rolled her red eyes and shook her head, taking her green hair and pulling it into a high ponytail. "Nothing is wrong." She replied. "I just didn't want to go to the beach." Delwyn laughed and poked the demon in the forehead, jumping out of the car before she could get mad about it. In the back of the car Toril and Alstor were watching the exchange with one amused face and one indifferent face.
The angel called out to her master in her forever cheerful voice. "Master, while you may not want to be here you should at least try and have fun for the others." The mage sitting next to her frowned at once again hearing his girlfriend call someone else master, but nodded in agreement. Rei knew she had no choice so she sighed and climbed out of the car, the angel and mage following behind her.
Alstor crossed his arms over his chest and stopped to think out loud. "If Rei owns this entire beach, why does she not like to come here?" Eiji over heard the question and walked over to answer, moving his pitch black hair out of the way of his deep black eyes.
"Don't worry, it's not for some dramatic sad reason. Okaa-san is just lazy and would rather sit at home all day and eat sweets and watch crime shows than go outside."
"Why? You would think one of her power would spend her time going around the world and using it."
Eiji shrugged. "She did that for over a hundred years, and then she got me and the idiot and settled down."
Toril interrupted and grabbed the mage's arm, pulling him over to a sand castle she had started to build, so Eiji just shrugged his shoulders and went back to the water. Everyone had finally settled down just as the sun was starting to move higher into the sky.
Rei was lying down on her beach towel with an umbrella covering her while Delwyn and Amaya drew on her back with sun tan lotion. Alstor was using his magics to help Toril with her sand castle even though she wanted to do it like humans without powers, but at the rate things were going they would have a life size castle in a few hours. Edward, Leo, Eiji, and Sho were playing chicken in the water with an even score of 2:2.
A few miles away in another van, a family of five dog demons plus one fox demon, were on a trip to a beach that the mother Momo had found when she was younger. It appeared to be an unmarked beach that no one used so she thought it would be a good idea to take everyone there for some fun.
When they pulled up to park they were surprised to find people already there enjoying the sunny day, but it didn't really bother them, it's not like they owned the beach anyway...
They piled out of the car with all they're beach things and slowly moved out onto the sand until...
"It's the ocean!"
The twins had yelled as loud as they could and ran towards the water jumping in and splashing each other and the others in the water. The oldest, Kani sighed and face palmed, Momo laughed and followed after them, and Arbre, the fox demon, looked at her friend and the only male Nick with an 'are they for real?' expression to which he had no response.
Once again Eiji, being the most responsible one, had to stop what he was doing and walk up to the other demons to find out what was going on. "Hello, I'm Eiji. I can clearly tell that you are demons like I'm sure you can tell most of us are, may I ask what you are doing on a privately owned beach?" Momo looked beside herself with shock while the others just looked uncomfortable, but it was Kani that spoke up in her mother's defense.
"Look, we're sorry we didn't know this place was owned by someone, it was always empty so she thought it would be ok for just one day."
Eiji nodded in understanding. "Well, it's not my call whether you can stay here or not."
The mother dog demon couldn't stop herself from speaking up. "I know it's a private beach but a young lady such as yourself should wear a proper top."
Having long silky black hair that ended at the end of his back, smooth porcelain skin without a single blemish, large gem like black eyes, a very feminine figure and a very feminine voice did not stop Eiji from picking up a rock, throwing it at his laughing boyfriend then turning around to say in the calmest voice possible. "...I'm a 25 year old male."
Everyone on the beach but Rei, Alstor, Momo, and Eiji himself burst into loud laughter, but Rei was holding back as much as she could. The dog demon started apologizing as much as she could while Eiji tried to explain to her that it happened all the time...literally.
Rei got off of her beach towel and walked up to the group of demons with a big smirk on her face. "I'm Rei, the owner of this beach; I don't mind if you stay here, I hardly use this thing anyway." With that said she turned away and made her way back to her towel where she paused then began to laugh so hard she fell on her butt.
Arbre turned to Nick and voiced what everyone was thinking. "So...all the people here are demons?"
Nick shrugged. "Well, I can smell all the different people here, but I know I smell humans...and a mage, watch out for them, they can be quick to anger, and I smell...something very old but gentle. The one with green hair...smells like a something very dangerous, I've never smelt anything like her before. Try to have fun but stay away from her ok?"
Arbre turned to look at the woman after Nick finished talking, only to see the demon staring back at her. The fox demon sent a small smile her way and pulled the dog boy over to where the twins Ann and Ina were having an adventure with a medal detector.
Arbre and Nick watched the twins fight over whose turn it was to use the detector when the fox remembered something. "How can so many different things that shouldn't be real and are considered bad be having fun at the beach?" Before Nick could answer, a shadow appeared before them. They looked up to see Rei standing there in all her glory eating a hotdog. She finished what she had in her mouth before speaking. "Because some humans are just fucking stupid."
Toril turned from her sand to give Rei a disappointed look.
"Master! Please refrain from using such poor language in front of the children. Being the second oldest person here means that you have to set an example just like I do."
Rei flinched and yelled back at the other woman. "Stop calling me master!"
Nick raised an eyebrow and walked over to the couple playing in the sand, Arbre close behind him. "Who are the oldest people here?"
Toril smiled. "Master and myself are! I am 75,012...I think, and master is 158!"
The two teen were amazed by the age of the demon on the ground. "You think?" Arbre pointed out. "Well, I stopped counting after while because it didn't really matter where I used to live." Toril answered, standing up and walking over to her boyfriend on the other side of the sand wall.
Meanwhile, Momo and Kani were setting up the beach things they brought for the day, when Ed suddenly stood between them. The dog demons didn't know how to react to being this close to a werewolf, because werewolves normally stayed together and hated everything around them because they were cursed to be stuck in the middle forever, neither human nor demon.
But enough of that.
"Do you lovely ladies need help setting your things up?" Ed asked, running his fingers through his hair while the sunlight made his whole body shine. The women shrugged and let him help set everything up, Sho joining them shortly after they started.
With everyone settled down, the twins suggested a game of volley ball, boys vs. girls, which made Leo ask which side Eiji wanted to be on, which led to Eiji punching his boyfriend in the gut, and ended with Momo, Rei, and Amaya wanting to just watch so it was five on five. It was a long and vicious battle: the three on the side lines could only watch as the boys were slaughtered by the girls. Alstor had used his magics to try and gain the upper hand, but the younger of the twins shut him down by hitting him in the face with the ball. Ed tried to use his inhuman powers to get the men some points, but Sho said if he cheated she wouldn't talk to him for a month. In the end it was Kani, who actually played the game, that helped the girls win because she actually got points for them while everyone else had a sand ball fight.
The sun was setting and when everyone came back from rinsing the sand off in the ocean water Rei and Amaya had already help Momo set up a bonfire and some tiki torches and had all the things needed to make smores set out on a fold up table. The excitement on everyone's faces made the work worth it, at least that's what Momo thought, Rei was ready to make them pay for their food first and Amaya didn't care. It was a great way to finish the day, sitting around a fire eating smores and watching the sun go down. Everyone had made a new friend and had a really nice time.
The twins had really warmed up to Ed and Sho, Arbre and Nick were sitting with Leo and Eiji talking about school, and Momo and Kani, were talking to Amaya, Toril, and Alstor. Watching all of this was Rei with Delwyn laying on her resting his head in her lap. "We've come a long way huh?" Delwyn let slip. Rei looked down at him with an eyebrow raised. "I guess, it's been a year and things have been pretty boring, but I think I can live with it for a few more hundred years." Delwyn felt a smirk come onto his face. "If you're that bored, we could go to Lin Lang's book store and work on having kids."
His answer was a punch in the face.
Thank you for reading! I decided to redo my crossover because the one I did before that was a half assed attempt to get over writers block. I like to think this one was a little better. Arbre and the family of dog demons do not belong to me, they belong to RainyPuppetier. Amaya is hers too, but she is staying with me. Read & Review I hope you enjoyed it!
