The Seven Brothers
By Chyna Snell
Did you know that the Earth was once barren and dead? Oh yes, only shadows lived on the cold lifeless lands, that is until two immortal beings come upon our Home World.
Aujn, God of Life, and Auna, Goddess of Fertility, saw the poor land and decided to create life. Through their powers and abilities called majika, they gave birth to seven sons. Each one with its own type of majika.
Moon of Darkness and his twin, Sun of Light, were the first born. They started the transition between day and night, light and dark. The triplets, Vapor of Water, Flare of Fire and Jolt of Lightning, were born next; they made it easier to live. Lastly, Leaf of Nature and Glacial of Ice were born. These twins gave us seasons and climates.
The Seven Brothers lived in harmony and soon, we began to evolve from seedlings. Finally able to live since the Earth was no longer dead. Humans called the Brothers our guardians and vowed utmost respect. We all lived in peace for a few years.
But peace rarely lasts forever.
For you see, those shadows that lived on the dead land were actually alive. They hid within the hearts of humans, slowly eating a hole in their hearts. This created want. A want for more to themselves. And the humans finally challenged the Brothers.
A war started and dragged on for years and years, but only because the Brothers refused to hurt the Humans that finally had a chance to grow. They believed that they could fight the shadows now in their hearts and win against the evil creatures…and the creatures saw this. They used it for their advantage, severely wounding the Brothers. Still, the brothers did not fight.
Auna saw all of this and came back to protect her sons. When she arrived, she was almost to late. As the Brothers lay slowly dying, so had the Home World. Everything was slowly vanishing with the rest of their life energy. The Shadows dead world was coming back for their enjoyment.
Before Auna could go and save her sons, she witnessed a young girl crawling weakly towards them. She had been crying, as told by her red eyes and tear stained cheeks. Her tears weren't for her own life though. It was for the Brothers.
"Please, if you need it," She cried weakly, "Take my life, so you may live."
Auna saw how the Brothers hope had affected the Humans and did, in fact, take the girl's life, but so she could spread it into her sons. They slowly raised up, weak from lack of energy, and Auna created a barrier between them and the Humans. She almost completely separated them from our Home World and created another world for her sons.
Using tiny gems that had fallen off her sons as they had been losing life, she created beings similar to them. In all, she created another Home World just for these special beings. They called their Home World, Aeria and they were called Elespirits.
Auna also created a hidden shrine for the girl that willing gave her life for the Brothers and prayed that if ever her sons were in danger that another soul would save them.
Millennia went by this new peaceful land. Many Elespirits were born and the world was a beautiful terrain. But Moon of Darkness became wary of the Human race. Because he knew, deep in his sealed heart, that peace rarely lasts forever.
