Oh the sugary goodness
Has made my brain such a mess.
Now all these sweets are on my brain.
Wouldn't be awesome for chocolate rain!
Though, candy is fun to eat
And cake is oh so neat.
Ice Cream scoops with toppings galore.
Can I please have some more?

Nothing Like It

There is nothing like a locked door

Not knowing what is behind it

Finally getting it open and seeing

Nothing but a mug in the middle

A mug made of stone yet as light as air

Picking it up and feeling it

Dropping it at a high sound

At the touching you feel

On your shoulder

As you dare not look back.

There is nothing like death

In life it's the love

You stare at in in the face

And a blinding light appears

You know who you suddenly are

The darkness closes in around you

You have nowhere to go

No one to find you

No one to care

But suddenly you are

In the middle of nowhere

Wishing you were dead

Anything is better than this

Even if it means losing everything

But you have already

If you haven't gone

It's your time now

Two perfume bottles on the shop counter wood

And sorry I could not buy both

And contemplating, for long I stood

And compared them as much as I could

Listening to what the store clerk quoth;

Then bought the second, as just as pleasing,

And perhaps charged more to claim,

But neglected and needing warm hands caressing;

Though except for different companies' manufacturing

They were just about the same,

And both that evening adjacent lay

brand new, in their shiny labels packed.

Oh, I left the first for another day.

But that shopper's voice in my head did say,

"You never find what you left when you come back!"

I say this today with a contended sigh

After getting complements days and days hence.

Two perfume bottles on the shop counter wood, and I-

I bought the one that not many are likely to buy,

And that has made all the difference.
