Knowing Who I Am
Author:
E. Kathleen PM
This is a poem I did for a school assignment. I couldn't decide which category to put it in, so I put it here. Yes, I'm aware it's a bad title, but I'm no good at such things.

I am a mouse laughing in the face of the hawk.

I am a beacon illuminating the darkened sea.

I am a shadow lurking in the corner of a bright room.

I am a ray of golden sunlight glowing in a field of gray.

I am a delicate butterfly once trapped in a jar, now set free.

I am a fiery comet shooting valiantly across the horizon.

I am a glossy white pearl emerging from her oyster for the first time.

I am a dainty songbird dancing to her own sweet tune.

I am the ink that will stain my legacy upon the earth.

I am a trick candle that can never be truly blown out.

You see, I am a dreamer.

I stand in good relation to a world of pure music and bliss.

I stand in good relation to the ones I love with all my being.

I stand in good relation to the beautiful things I have seen and those I have not.

I stand in good relation to my Father God who is great.

I stand in good relation to every wishing star I may ever see in the sky.

You see, I am a dreamer, I am a believer.
