Curl up with a mug of tea and a book
and talk to the ghosts
whispering in the corners
Ask them for life advice
or ask them to leave
or ask them for help on homework
Or maybe you can't see them
maybe they're just a chill in the air
or a sinking feeling in your stomach
Maybe if you sit there long enough,
in this room, this too-quiet room,
you'll start to see them clearly
and start to talk to them as people
and maybe they are.
