Life is an ocean,
We begin as the rain,
Falling from the sky
Wrapped in our mothers pain.
We're dropped into the sea,
The ocean of life,
Rocked by the waves
Of joy and strife.
Some of us learn
To kick and swim,
Forging our own paths
Though that blue-green.
Others prefer to lay on their
Backs, floating on crests,
Letting life move them
As they rest.
Then, one by one,
We sink below the waves
To our salty, watery,
Sea-green graves.
