Hey guys!

So…this is just another fluffy little one-shot that I came up with. It's actually mostly a true event…and I think I captured the moment pretty well. My only concern is that I might have made the main character a little bit to Mary-Sueish…so if you see that, would you please tell me? Thanks in advance! Also, if you don't mind sending a review in…I'd really appreciate that. Thanks!

"C'mon!"

"Let's go!"

"Hurry up!"

I take one last look over my shoulder at the guy who my friends had been pushing for me to talk to all night –and I did- and then let myself be pulled over to my group of about fifteen friends. All of us are planning on running to Friendlies, an ice-cream shack/family restaurant, because our last school dance of the year has just finished.

My best friend, Alana, is giving me a look and I look her back in the eyes. She then lightly takes her boyfriend's arm off of her shoulder and walks over to Eric. I can tell she's going to ask him if he wants to come with us.

Her boyfriend, Luke, is smirking at me and I hit him on the chest. Him and Alana had been the annoying ones trying to get us together all night long and I was done with them.

"Are you coming?" Danielle Churchill yells loudly towards me. I look over my shoulder to see Alana walking with Eric and Danielle notices and she comes over. She brings a crowd of my friends over too, or at least the people who haven't sprinted off yet.

In all, there will be six girls and eight boys going to Friendlies and they are basically the people who I live for. Alana and I are best friends, and we are joined by Danielle, Valerie, Sarah, and Lauren. Our guys are Grayson and Gregory (Twins), Liam, Hunter, Benjamin (Who is dating Valerie), Isaac, Jacob, and the newly added Luke.

Eric isn't really best friends with any one of these guys, but he is pretty close to a couple of them. It was our friends that we shared that had apparently gotten Eric to like me in the first place.

Sarah, Lauren, Grayson, Gregory, Hunter, and Isaac had run ahead but Alana, Luke, Danielle, Valerie, Liam, Benjamin, and Jacob has stuck around…probably interested in what is going to happen between Eric and I.

Which I find very annoying.

All of my friends think they have every right to be involved in my life…and to a certain extent, they do. But they don't get to be in all of it.

Take tonight for example. Alana and Luke had kept pushing Eric and I together, trying to get us to talk, and frankly, embarrassing the heck out of us. It was very annoying and we both felt it.

"So you're coming?" Luke asks Eric as Alana resumes her position underneath his arm. Eric nods his head and smiles towards me, "Let's go!" Luke calls out as we begin the fifteen minutes walk to Friendlies in our big group.

"So do you guys always do this?" Eric asks, coming up to my right side as I stand in the middle of him and Danielle.

"I guess." I say, shrugging my shoulders. I look ahead to see Liam and Jacob walking side-by-side and then turning their heads back and laughing. Little pieces of shit, "I can see you guys!" I yell out to them. They pause and wait for Eric, Danielle, and I and then we all begin to walk together.

"But it's soooo cute!" Liam teases in a high girly voice. I roll my eyes and Eric pushes Jacob. Liam is one of those guys who you either love or hate for his jokes, teasing, and personality. Nothing in the middle. I love him, but he teases a little too much for my liking.

"Stop it, dumbass." Danielle says, shoving Liam playfully who shoves her back. Danielle doesn't really come hang with us that much because she's always away on account of her musical theater stuff, but when she is with us her and Liam always get a little thing going on.

"Are we gonna stay outside?" I question aloud. I wasn't really asking anyone in particular, but I sure as heck was expecting an answer.

"Probably." Jacob responds, "It's not that cold."

And he's right. It isn't. It's an early date in April and a lot of the girls are wearing shorts and cute shirts, I don't even have a sweatshirt. Although I'll probably be regretting that when we get ice cream…

"Oh yeah…" I say. Sometimes I make dumb remarks…a lot of my friends tease me about that. Actually, all of my friends tease me about everything. Apparently I make is very easy, whatever that means.

"Nice, smart-one." Liam says, smirking at me. Danielle shoves him again and Jacob laughs. I can tell that Eric wants to laugh too, from the smile on his face, but he is trying to hold it back.

"Go ahead," I say, gesturing out towards me, "Laugh."

And with that, him and Jacob burst into even more laughter which Danielle and Liam soon join into. Finally, I'm laughing along with them. It takes all my might not to laugh at them.

After our laughing fit, we finally reach out destination which is the small restaurant which is now less popular among our small town. Tonight, it looks like we're the only eighth graders there…a bunch of the other kids in our grade were going to sleepovers after the dance, another more popular snack shack in the opposite direction, or the one party for the "Popular" kids.

In fact, me and my girls were going to have a sleepover tonight at Alana's house which is five minutes away from Friendlies. We had gone there before the dance to get ready and to drop our stuff off, so we could go to her house whenever we felt like it. Her mom and dad honestly didn't care when we got back.

"Finally!" Grayson yells as we all walk into the front sections of Friendlies where a couple tables and benches are set up. A couple of families and such are inside, but we're the only group of kids outside.

"Hey. Eric came!" Isaac, the guy who had gotten Eric to like me in the first place, yells loudly which attracts the attention of the kids who hadn't seen him before. Sarah wiggles her eyebrows at me and Lauren smiles while I just glare at the both of them.

"I'm gonna get some ice cream." I mutter, pulling Danielle along with me to the ice cream window as Eric talks with some of the boys.

"What's up?" Danielle questions as the both of us order and pay for our vanilla cones with rainbow sprinkles. I shrug my shoulders and lean up against the side of the wall as we wait for our ice cream.

"Idontknow. Everyone is just being really annoying."

Her face turns down and she reaches out to give me a hug which I gladly accept. Danielle is one of those people who will always be there for you, who always knows what to do, "I'm sorry, babe."

I shrug my shoulders again, "It's not your fault. I just don't know what to do about him." I say, whispering the last part and jutting my head in the direction of the dirty-blonde haired and brown-eyed boy.

"Do you like him?"

"I don't know."

"If he started flirting with Sarah, what would you do?" She questions, looking intently over at me with her crystal blue eyes. She's twirling her long blonde hair as she waits for an answer.

"I would be upset." I finally say, looking down. I'm not one to admit my feelings very much…the whole thing gets me very worked up.

"Then talk to him." She finally says. I nod my head, my wavy brown locks bouncing as I do so, and then I reach over to retrieve my ice cream. The other kids finally ordered or are ordering now, and Eric is in the mix of them.

The thing is…Eric has already asked me out once. It was a couple weeks ago, when he first really liked me and I thought I liked him, but I had said no. I wasn't ready yet. Things have been awkward ever since…and I'm still confused on my feelings about him.

Finally, everyone gets their ice cream and we all squeeze into two tables. I end up sitting in the middle of Eric and Liam…not my ideal pair to be squashed into…but I think I'll be able to deal.

"That was fun," Liam says, spooning out some of his ice cream into his mouth, "Really fun."

Our table (Liam, me, Eric, Danielle, Jacob, Benjamin, Valerie and Isaac)all nod our heads in agreement.

"Except its freaking cold!" Danielle complains loudly. And she is right. It's gotten a little bit colder since we've began to eat our ice cream.

Liam simply hands her his sweatshirt. She gives him a shocked look and he shrugs his shoulders but doesn't take it back when she gives it to him. She reluctantly puts it on, and then I can't help but notice that Eric is wearing his Westhill Warriors sweatshirt…a sweatshirt that is probably one of the warmest things on earth.

I shiver slightly unintentionally and then Eric hands me his. The whole table basically goes silent and that pisses me off. Honestly…how come they didn't get this way for Liam and Danielle?

"You sure?" I question, looking over to him.

He looks down at me and smiles, "Yeah. I'm positive." He replies to which I take the sweatshirt from his hands and pull it over my head. It's about two sizes bigger then what my sweatshirt should be…but it smells like him.

"Thanks." I say, giving him an awkward hug because I'm sitting on his side, "I'll give you a better hug later." I promise, whispering into his ear. He smiles at me and then I grin widely, ignoring the looks from the rest of the table.

We all sit and talk for a little while longer but then it gets to be about ten-fifteen and people are starting to get picked up. We're all standing up now, and Liam, Jacob, the twins, Luke, and Eric are the only guys left.

Luke and Alana have disappeared behind the building (Obviously to kiss) and Liam and Danielle are off to one side too. I take Eric off the corner where you order your ice cream and I give him the hug he deserved earlier.

"My dad's here. But keep the sweatshirt."

I look down at the oversized piece of black fabric that I'm wearing that still smells like him and then I grab his arm. He looks down at me and I kiss him on the cheek.

"Text me sometime, okay Eric?" I say, shyly looking away from him. Sure, I can be a pretty outgoing person…but I just kissed a guy on the cheek. I would say I have every right to be shy after that.

"Yeah. I will. See ya Bella." He says with a wave, running to his dad's car. I just stand there with a smile on my face.

Who knows…maybe all this romance shit will actually work out for me.
