Chapter 8:

Is it possible to love two people at the same time? If so, why? How can I love someone who doesn't love me. How can I live through that?

"Because, you don't want them to know about your love. That obviously hides beneath." Hunter laughs.

"Thanks Hunter. You said you were done with my mind."

"I did, but only when you think of him, or anyone for that matter. With ugly thoughts."

I laugh.

"Rise and shine!" Roman walks up, laughing.

I roll my eyes, he always seems to appear when I need to talk to Hunter.

"Well, any news?" Hunter asks.

That's what makes everyone shocked. But Roman just replies with, "Nope. I haven't found any new survivors."

Then we sigh. Well they do anyways, I just flop on my back onto the hard ground of dirt.

"Well if everyone would be so kind… Go explore, but I warn you. Be careful." Roman laughs.

They all leave, I guess they all wanted to explore. Even Hunter, left.

"So, Hunter can talk." Roman laughs.

"Uhm, Yeah."

"Well. He better be a good listener. If I catch him flirting with that Marlene, well he's out."

That's when it hurts, he loves Marlene. Not me. Her. I wanted to deny that attraction as just a jealousy act. But I was wrong. He loves Marlene.

"Marlene? You like her?" The words stinging me.

He laughs, "Yeah, she's pretty you know."

I sigh, "Well, she's great, I can tell."

He looks down.

That's all I can manage, his love for Marlene, the love I want from him. Is Marlene's. Now I'm in some huge love triangle when I hear Hunter give me a message mentally saying, "He loves you too."
