A.N.: Hey guys! I've been updating frequently for these past few days, haven't I? Well, it's because we have no classes due to flooding and storm. It's been like 3 days now and it's still pouring. Please pray for the Philippines. :) I'm dedicating this chapter to all those who got affected by the floods. Though, this chap has no relation to floods whatsoever. Hihi! :D On with the story then!

I mixed the flour and the eggs. Then, I poured the milk. I bit my lip. Was I doing this right? What was I supposed to do next?

"Good morning dear! Need any help?" I heard a motherly voice from behind me.

"Oh, Natalie! I was just trying to make cupcakes. Note the word trying." I said.

She chuckled. "Let me do that instead, sweetie. How about you help with the frosting later instead? You could even call Adrian and Caleb so they could help too." She started adding these weird powdery stuffs.

My pulse quicken when I heard Aidan's voice. "Would you look at that? My two favorite girls cooking for me."

I rolled my eyes despite the butterflies swarming inside my stomach. "It's not for you dimwit. I'm actually hungry. Oh, and everyone gets to eat it except for you."

His mom chuckled while he gave me the puppy-dog eyes. "Awww. How come I can't?"

"Just because. End of discussion. Besides, you eat 5 times more than the normal person. You'd eat all of it before I can even get one bite." I stuck my tongue out.

He stood beside me. "Come on. Please? You know I like sweets. I'll even give you hug and a peck on the cheek just like old times. You know you want to…. He taunted as I reminisced.

"Please, Thea? Can I have that chocolate bar? It's cookies and cream. You know that I love cookies and cream." A ten-year-old Aidan pouted.

I paused to think. "I don't know. It's my favorite too, you know?"

He groaned. "Please? I'll do anything."

I smile widely, and then taught for his punishment. Then, she finally remembered something. "Fine, I'll give to you. On one condition. Give me a peck on the cheeks!"

Aidan gave me an odd look. "What? Why? Can I hug you instead?"

I smirked. "You can do that too, but nobody ever gave me a peck on the cheeks. My older cousin, Samantha, says that her boyfriend did it to her and it was the sweetest ever and she felt tingles all over her body, but in a nice way. But I won't know what that means until you give me a peck on the cheeks."

He rolled his eyes, and then hugged me and gave me a peck on the cheek. "So? How was it? Did you feel tingles or something."

I beamed and nodded. "Uhuh, it felt nice. Do it again!" I giggled remembering how nice it felt when he pecked my cheeks. I almost feel grown up like my cousin.

He took the chocolate from my hands and shook his head. "Nuh-uh. I won't do it again until I need something."

I pouted. "You're a meanie."

He grinned. "I know. But you love me anyway. That's why you you're my bestest friend in the whole wide world! Come on. Let's play at the park." He grabbed my hand and we ran to the park nearby.

I smiled at the memory. "Fine then. Give me it." I tapped my cheek. He chuckled, and then pulled me into a hug and gave me a peck on my cheek.

I ignored the blood rushing up my cheeks and the pounding of my heart.

When I realized that the first batch of cupcakes is ready, I began to design the cupcakes. Natalie whispered to me. "You two are so cute together."

I looked down, hoping to hide my blush. "We're just friends, Nat." I tried not to sound to bitter.

"Need help?" Aidan offered. I was so intent on making my cupcakes look perfect that I forgot that he was there.

"Yeah, sure. You can decorate the next batch." He nodded and took the next set of batch out of the oven.

After an hour of talking and eating cupcakes, we heard the doorbell ring. I stood up and said, "I'll get it."

I widened my eyes when I saw who it was. "Hey there, princess."

I bit my lip. Somehow, I felt guilty for being with Aidan even though we didn't do anything wrong. "Hey Chris! What're you doing here?"

He chuckled. "Why? Didn't you wanna see me?"

I rolled my eyes and stepped aside to let him in. "It's no that. Your visit was just unexpected. That's all."

"I just came to see my best friend and girlfriend. Nothing wrong with that, right?"

I answered. "Whatever."

"Who is it, Thea?" Aidan asked, not taking his eyes off the tv.

I sat beside him and Chris sat on my other side. "Just me, mate."

Aidan looked up and grinned and they shook hands slapped each other's back. "Oh, hey mate. Thea and I are just going up to play videogames. You coming?"

Chris nodded and then gave me a skeptical look. "Heather plays videogames?"

Aidan chuckled. "Well, she tries too."

Chris smirked. "You play like a girl, Heather."

I stuck my tongue out and pressed a button that made my character kick his character. Hey, I'm getting the hang of this. "Just be thankful that I am a girl, Mitchell. You should start freaking out when your girlfriend turns out to be a guy in disguise."

Aidan chuckled. 'Ouch, mate! That must have hurt."

Chris grinned at me. "You're good, Heather. You have some spunk. I like it."

I smacked his head and concentrated on the game. It has been like 2 hours since we were playing videogames. OR at least, they were playing. I was only pressing random buttons, hoping for the best.

It didn't even last a minute before I saw the letters K.O. on the screen. Chris laughed because he had one.

Aidan shook his head. "Oh Thea. You're hopeless. I think it must be a record. You know? A game being over within a minute. You're like the suckiest player ever."

I rolled my eyes. "Whatever Aidan. For the record, suckiest is not even a word."

Chris chuckled and pulled me into his lap. "You're so cute when you're a sore loser, princess." I felt kinda uncomfortable since Aidan was just a few feet away.

"So, how 'bout you come over tomorrow? Kendra's been buggin' me about you." Chris said, playing with my hair.

"Sure, hun. Right after school." I smiled at him.

Then, he gently pulled me up. "Hey guys, I have to go. Kendra and I are goin' out for dinner. See you guys tomorrow."

Aidan nodded. "Yeah. Sure, mate."

I smiled and kissed him goodbye.

Aidan's Point of View

I thought I was going to burst when I saw Thea kiss him. I felt the familiar knots in my stomach. I knew I was jealous. I wanted to be the one to hold her and kiss her. But they seem happy enough. What if I'm just going to mess everything when I confess to Thea? What if I only make her confuse and angry at me? I can't afford to do that. I just have to wait for a perfect moment. I have to wait until they break up. That's it!

But something keeps telling me: What if they don't break up? Are you just gonna keep quiet and hide your feelings for her? You love her, and maybe, just maybe, she loves you too. You wouldn't know that though, if you won't tell her.

I sighed. I didn't know what to do anymore. I ran a hand across my hair and slumped back into my bed.

I can't think straight anymore. I'm turning into a hopeless romantic guy. All I know is—is that I'm in love with her. And I have to tell her that—soon. I just pray that she feels the same way too.

I smiled at her as she closed the door. I walked back to my car and turned on the engine. Something was wrong. I can feel it. I just don't know what.

She kept glancing on Adrian when I kissed her. Why was she though? Was she ashamed? There was always something in her eyes though. Something that I can't quite decipher/

I sighed. What was I thinking? Of course, nothing's wrong. I guess I'm just paranoid. Nothing's happening….. Right?
