So sick of the darkness

This world is corrupted

It makes us all less

Our truths disrupted

I wish to find some light

That hasn't been destroyed

To turn around this blight

And our evils avoid

We walk by the poor

Not giving a glance

Not a penny on the floor

So we go on with our lives

Lying when we think it right

Not seeing it deprives

We walk with blind sight

We fight and we flee

I shake my head in disgust

Because we don't even see

The war that's around us
