"Help me, Lord" I hear him pray,
"Today's my daughter's wedding day."
There's a tear in Daddy's eye.
When he sees me in my wedding dress,
He says, "Dear, Daughter, may God bless."
There's a tear in Daddy's eye.
Me overjoyed and in bliss,
Daddy says, "I've always dreaded this."
There's a tear in Daddy's eye.
Then he puts on one of his brave smiles
And says he'll be there through those tough miles.
There's a tear in Daddy's eye.
