How the Mighty Never Fell

Times were dark,
The war raged.
Evil was prevailing,
Untamed, uncaged

The good was fighting,
They wouldn't give in.
But yet, they were falling,
They thought they couldn't win.

The war had started,
On that fateful night,
The Darkness decided they had enough,
They wanted to fight.

So they burned villages,
Killed the people,
They murdered the leaders,
And ripped down church steeples.

So the Light army formed,
And at first, they were strong.
They marched in, ready,
Singing a song,

About how good always triumphs,
About how they will win.
But yet, after weeks,
Their light was growing dim.

But then, when all hope seemed lost,
Something finally went right.
A new hero arose,
Ready to fight.

It was a miracle,
A beacon of hope.
It appeared he would deliver them,
Like a lifeline, or rope.

He fought with valor and truth,
He took down those wicked men.
But just when they all thought it was over,
Then, oh then,

This new hero,
So brave, so just,
Had to defeat the Evil lord,
This he must.
