That malicious, evil man,
Knew what he should do.
He wanted the hero on his side,
And he thought the hero would want to.
That wicked man offered him riches,
Power and fame,
He would give him anything, take any aim.
But the hero was repulsed,
He would never turn,
He drew his sword and cried,
"I'll join you when hell ceases to burn!"
So the battle was on,
Between leaders of Darkness and Light.
It was a raging battle,
An epic fight.
And then, the hero made a mistake.
For a moment he turned his eyes,
And the evil lord
Took him by surprise.
Our hero was pinned to the ground,
And that evil lord smirked,
And from his mouth came these words-
"Looks like your 'fighting with truth' didn't work.
You're pinned to the ground;
You're completely alone."
But the hero smiled, just slightly,
And his eyes, they shone.
"There, you're wrong,"
"I'm never alone,
Even if you chop off my head,
Or if you try to snuff the Light,
There will always be good,
There will always be truth,
Even if you should
Kill all the people,
There will always be Light."
And with these words,
His sword shone bright.
With his free hand
The hero gripped his radiant sword,
He unsheathed it
With these words-
"FOR THE LIGHT!"
And with a mighty thrust,
That wicked, dark, malicious man
Turned to dust.
The evil followers died too,
And the sun shone all around,
And the people celebrated,
They let out a joyous sound.
They gave the hero highest awards,
The people sang about him,
And lifted him up, for it was he
Who let the Light win.
His story was passed down through the ages,
By bards and scholars alike,
He would forever represent
The dominance of light.
They all lived in peace forever,
All was well,
No one ever forgot the story of
How the Mighty Never Fell.
