Starbeam

There once was a twinkling light

up in the night.

Sitting on a falling star

it gleams white, lavender, pink

Always changing.

The beam of the star that once was.

Its tale is mighty far;

Once there was a star so bright

that it seemed to turn day into night.

It glistened in its own time.

never listening to the others fight.

Many times it spun and danced

casting beams left and right,

Brighter and brighter!

It shone; it glowed

with its magnificent beam;

Hues of violet, copper, and white

One night the star sings a tune

and the other stars listen, too.
