i often wonder what i would have been like if i'd been raised in the city.
to those of you who are going oh my god, bitch is obsessed with the city...you're absolutely right. i'm not sure i can explain it. there's something about the anonymity of it. buildings with battle scars. strangers walking by on the street with whole lives behind them i will never know about. stoplights. skyscrapers. oh, especially skyscrapers. i'm not making any sense, but hey-this is my damn pillowbook and i'm not required to make sense here. thank god.
so back to my original question.
would i be more outgoing? street-smart? independant? would i have the courage to scale the tallest buildings? would i wear short skirts and heavy eyeliner and flirt with dangerous boys? would i no longer be katie, but kate? or kath?
i guess i'll never know. but i'd like to meet that girl. i bet i could learn a thing or two from her.
