Cries for blood ring through my ears
Ashes coat faces dripping with tears
Names of the dead screamed aloud
Overhead rumbles a dark cloud
And the Heavens shower their pain.
Though the flames are now abated
Whispering questions of those that hated
Us so blindly float around.
I stare in shock at my old home
Do I settle elsewhere, or should I roam
About till the slayer is found?
Should I settle on revenge?
Should I grieve until my end?
Should I follow others into the storm?
Should I cower with mothers at every form
that passes our way?
No, I am not weak
I will not break
Until the murderer is found
I'll hunt him down
So that he may face what he has done
And his will hate me
And pursue me too
And the cycle will start again.
