Just like the title, only this is the POEM STYLE! Warning: Edgar Allen Poe has very creepy works, and this is morbid and creepy, but there wasn't a poem setting for that.

The Pit and the Pendulum (POEM FORM! YEAH BABY!)

As I stood in front of the seven judges,

Waiting for my fate to be sealed,

I couldn't help but feel sick,

And so my knees started to yield.

.

Everything was black,

And I knew no more,

But I knew the future ahead of me,

Would be filled with nothing, but gore.

.

I awoke in a dark place,

I dared not open my eyes,

Was it an endless dark?

Or will it be a hideous guise?

.

I opened them slowly,

And cried out in despair,

My worst fear had been true-

There was nothing but darkness there!

.

I felt very faint,

And let out a yell,

I felt for the wall,

And realized it must be just a cell.

.

I wondered what was in store for me,

For my sentence had said death,

And I knew that any moment now,

I could breathe my last breath.

.

I walked around the room,

And counted fifty two paces,

What was going through my mind?

Similar to swords and maces.

.

I decided to walk across,

And tripped on my robe

I realized my chin touched the floor,

But not my lips, forehead, or nose.

.

Meh, not done yet, but oh well. I will update at my leisure, and flames will be used to cook the flamers' flesh. (Not really, but that's what I picture doing. So what? I'm sane.)

[She swears!]

Shut up, Dani!

[NEVER!]

(Together-)

{We're sane, don't worry.}
