Ships

There was big ships

on the river today.

Hundreds of them

being tossed and turned

in the relentless current

and waves.

I don't know where they were going

or where they were coming from.

But there were big ships

on the river today.

Author's Note: In Creative Writing class, we listened to the classical music piece "The Ride of the Valkyries" by Richard Wagner, while being shown 3 pictures. One of the pictures features ships on a river, and that was my inspiration for this poem. Read and review please! :D
